Evergreen is a mountain community above Denver
and is home to a large number of artists with studios tucked away in the
foothills. From her mountain studio, Kate designs and creates etched and sand
carved glass pieces that are inspired by the mountain environment.
With over thirty years of experience in commissioned work for
commercial and residential clients, Kate has had the opportunity to create a
vast array of glass art for many clients. Etched and sand carved glass and
stained glass are her specialties. From outdoor landscape to wildlife, flowers
and trees to contemporary, beveled and leaded glass, her art has continually
changed to meet the needs of her clients.
She is a member of Open Door Studios, Artists of Evergreen,
which is a tour of studios in the Evergreen area and is held the third weekend
of September. Visitors are welcome to her studio at other times by
appointment.
Kate exhibits in art shows and galleries in Colorado and her
work is in homes and businesses all over the US.
